We are expanding the board to include 2-3 more passionate, energetic people. Denver/ Boulder area residents are preferred but not required. Please contact us if you may be interested.
Dr. Bernie Siegel, Distinguished Honorary Advisor. Bernie is an internationally renowned inspirational speaker, author and former surgeon. His numerous books and recordings for both adults and children (including Love, Medicine & Miracles) inspire healing, hope and courage to people living with cancer around the world. He is the founder of Exceptional Cancer Patients, an organization which affirms the healing potential in every person. His philosophy is at the forefront of medical ethics and spiritual issues in healing, and he has touched countless lives on our planet with kindess and wisdom.
Jim Crisp, MBA. Jim is a conservation biologist & ecologist who has been a non-profit director & strategic planning consultant for over 25 years. His study of alternative healing modalities is lifelong. Jim is the Founding Director of The Children's Eternal Rainforest, Costa Rica.
Ann Fonfa, Founder & President, The Annie Appleseed Project, a cancer CAM educational organization serving 85,000 people monthly online. Ann is a breast cancer survivor who successfully used alternative treatments for her recovery, and is a tireless & distinguished international educator, author, reviewer, & advocate. She serves on many national panels and review boards.
Connie Hampton, R.N., Operations Manager, Pain Centers of America. Connie is a traditionally trained nurse who believes that integrative medicine is the key to empowering individuals to attain their innate health and wellness.
Dr. Steven Hecht, DC, MPH, MMHS, MA. Steve is a chiropractic physician and MPH graduate of Columbia University. He is a lifelong patient advocate in complementary healing modalities, and through integrative medicine has himself successfully managed a chronic disease for 25 years.
Karen Korona, MS. Karen is an internationally known holistic healer, Kundalini Yoga & Kundance Yoga instructor & workshop leader. Karen has been a healing & spiritual guide, dancer & yogini for over 28 years, transforming lives of clients & students around the world.
Karyn Laws, MA, LMHC. Karyn is a holistic psychotherapist & energy healing practitioner in practice for over 25 years. She brings experience & wisdom on women's health issues and alternative healing modalities.
Kate Levinter, residential design student, Boston Architectural College. Kate is the daughter of a breast cancer survivor (the founder) and brings practicality & wisdom to her interest in complementary & alternative medicine.
Brenda Michaels, National Talk Show Host, life coach, national speaker & author. A 3-time cancer survivor, Brenda is an expert in the fields of self help, alternative healing & the consciousness movement. She has interviewed many prominent & visionary individuals, including Dr. Bernie Siegal, Suzanne Somers & others. She is dedicated to inspiring people to make a difference.
Angelena Craig, Founder, The New Aging Movement. Angelena has founded, directed & consulted to non-profit organizations for over 30 years. She is a Kripalu Yoga instructor and a lifelong integrative medicine advocate.
Dr. Susan Silberstein, Ph.D. Susan is Founder & Executive Director of the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education. An author, editor, cancer coach & international speaker on nutrition, cancer prevention and CAM, she has appeared on hundreds of radio & TV talks shows and lectures frequently for medical & nursing schools, hospitals, & other organizations. Susan is a Phi Beta Kappa & Fulbright scholar and is the recipient of numerous awards for her continuing work in cancer education.
Edward (Ted) Webster, business & non-profit founder & president, consultant & author. He is also a former triathalon athelete & current nationally ranked Master swimmer. Most recently, Ted is the Founding Director of The Jubilee Center, dedicated to personal & societal healing.
Nancy Foster, Board Secretary. Nancy is a realtor & tax accountant with particular interest and expertise in non-profit organizations, as well as an interest in complementary & alternative medicine. She is the Founding President of The Foster Family Children's Foundation.
Laura M. Fleming, President, SRS Crisafulli, Montana. Laura is a graduate of Stanford University & The Bejing Institute, and has studied Chinese medicine & acupuncture. She is a former massage therapist & has an ongoing interest in evidence-based alternative and integrative medicine.
Sue Memhard, M.Ed., Founding Director, Board President & Treasurer. Sue is an internationally collected artist, author and holistic counselor. She is a 3-time breast cancer survivor via conventional, complementary & alternative treatments.
