Making a donation to the Emerald Heart Cancer Foundation is an investment in the ability of women to receive -- and complete -- their cancer treatments of choice.

Conventional cancer treatments (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation) are most often the cornerstone for recovery. However, these treatments may come with a price in terms of side-effects, ranging from mild to debilitating and long-term. Complementary and alternative treatments, while lacking research funding, are increasingly sought by those who desire

1. relief from chemotherapy and radiation side effects
2. more comfortable and swifter recovery from surgery
3. immune system support
4. a more holistic alternative to conventional treatments
5. success where conventional treatments have failed

These treatments are generally not supported by insurance companies or the conventional medicine community, and families are on their own in navigating treatment options, as well as in paying for treatment. Severe financial stress, as the founder experienced (a story), is an enormous obstacle to healing.

We are a Colorado non-profit corporation and our federal 501(c)(3) application is pending. Your donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. In the unlikely event that we do not receive our exempt status, donations are disallowed retroactively as charitable contributions by the IRS. As always, consult with your accountant.
